Replaces default Themes menu with rollovers, theme preview, and a swifter loading themes list.
100s of themes load in a second(and a few kb), but only one screenshot until rollover.
Theme screenshots do not load till rollover. (Copied from userthemes here at wpmudev.org).
The ds_themes() is cut n’ pasted from the default themes.php with the rollover presentation(“snowsuits”) copied from userthemes found at wpmudev.org.
I’ve usually edited the core themes.php file, but I learned recently to replace the theme menu via a plugin.
I’ll need to look closely at changes in the core to themes.php and copy those changes to this plugin as needed. I’ve left the bits I’ve commented out of the original here.
BTW, theme version and author links are visible to site admin only, my preference.
Install in mu-plugins then visit design/presentation.
Puts “widgets” first in menu order, I don’t know why. I often fiddle with widgets, rarely with themes so I prefer the change actually.
Any usual link to the original themes.php works as normal.
Now, if I could sort by theme tags: color, #sidebars, theme options, header images, etc, etc.
Works fine in WPMU2.3.1 and 2.5.1(may need minor tweaks for admin css classes).
